Real bad boys can grow up to be real good men.

Texas Montgomery Mavericks, Book 4

Hit hard by the death of her parents, Paige Ryan needs to figure out what to do with her life. She moves to Whispering Springs, Texas, to be near her step-brother. But just as she starts to get her life on track, the last man she ever wanted to see again sends it right back off the rails.

Cash Montgomery was on the cusp of having it all. Three bull riding titles, fame, fortune and respect from his family. Until a bad bull leaves him injured, angry and searching for comfort at the bottom of a bottle. With nowhere to go, he moves into his sister-in-law's old ranch house in Whispering Springs which he's surprised to find already occupied.

As Cash rebuilds the dilapidated home and Paige starts out on her medical career, their old friendship begins to reemerge and sparks are ignited. Paige knows that Cash is nothing but a heartache waiting to happen. But maybe this bad boy has grown up to be a real good man?

Warning: Watch out for falling lumber, falling in holes, and falling for the wrong guy again. You can leave your hard hat on.

My Review

I would like to first thank Ms. D’Alba for the advanced copy of Texas Twist (Book 4). Even though this is book 4, it is the first one that I have had the pleasure of reading. I will be going back and catching up!

I love stories about bad boys…..but bad boys who are cowboys and ride bulls? Oh my swoon! This book has enlightened me and I now have a new style of book boyfriend!

Paige has moved to be near her step-brother after losing her parents. This move has brought her closer to an old flame and she isn’t too happy with the setup. Cash Montgomery is trying to drown his misery. When Cash ends up moving in to the same house as Paige (thanks to an honest mix up!), all sorts of fireworks start going off! They do what they have to and try to make being roommates work for the best but you can clearly cut the attraction in the room with a knife.

I was definitely rooting for these two from the beginning. As both Paige and Cash tried to go on with their lives, there was always something that would reel them back in. They may not have realized it at the time, but all they needed was to find their way back to each other. I believe in fate and they had fate on their side.

Now, where can I get me a cowboy?
