This is a blog tour review from January 2012 that I had so much fun doing I wanted to make sure it was re-posted!

The Moreno Brothers Blog Tour and Author Interview!

Forever Mine (Book 1)
Mature YA - Aprx 87k words

Seventeen-year old Sarah’s life is turned upside down when her single mom is sent to jail. She’s forced to move, leaving behind everything she’s ever known, including her best friend Sydney. Lost and bitter in a new school, her one goal is to save money and move back home. Then she meets Angel Moreno.

Enigmatic but gorgeous, Angel is almost too good to be true. Except for one thing, his archaic belief that guys and girls can never be “just friends”. The problem? Sarah’s best friend Sydney is not a girl.

With their unexpected romance intensifying to places neither ever experienced, how long can Sarah keep Angel in the dark about the guy waiting for her back home?

 My Review:
When I began reading the first book in this series I was hooked! You are going to truly love this family! Angel is dreamy and Sarah is just someone you would want to be your best friend. Speaking of best friends.....Sydney! I really loved his character. Of course, having a male as a best friend is one of the gut clenching OMG's! in this book. The Moreno Brothers stories starts with the meeting and later relationship of Angel and Sarah.  Angel is the youngest male of the Moreno family.  Sarah has had to move away from her best friend and start a new school while trying to finish high school. Then, let the drama begin!  With my reviews I never go into too much of the story because I am always afraid of giving away too much information!  This is why I always like to include the blurbs from either Goodreads or from the author. You will truly enjoy this series!
5 out of 5 stars!

She’ll resist him even if that means using the one thing that’ll stop Alex dead in his tracks: another man.

Alex is coming off one of the worst years of his life. He spent so much time wallowing in self-pity, he never realized how much he’d missed Valerie. That is, until that kiss. My review:
This story will truly give you your Alex fix!  You get a little in Forever Mine but this is Alex 24/7!  The Moreno Brothers story continues with the second eldest brother Alex and his love interest Valerie.  You will learn the ends and outs of their very unique relationship!  As the blurb states above, Alex and Valerie are reunited at a party.  While Valerie has sworn that she will avoid Alex at all costs, she soon learns it is not going to be so easy!
5 out of 5 stars!

My Review:
Finally!  We get to see what having three overbearing and protective brothers feels like! But in Sofia's case....three overbearing and protective Moreno brothers! Not to mention two very hot best friends!  Sofia though is only interested in one of them though......Eric!  It was really fun (and gut clenching) to read how these two handled this very unique situation.  I love these characters!
5 out of 5 stars!

Romero (Book 4)
Adult Contemporary - Aprx 89k words

Prim and proper middle school teacher Isabel Montenegro always runs the opposite direction from men like Ramon Romero. A foul-mouthed, uneducated, loose cannon has no place in her careful plans. But instead of running away, Isabel is completely captivated. The intensity of his nature, while a bit daunting, mesmerizes her in ways she can’t begin to understand. She’s unwilling to walk away—even when her instincts are screaming at her to run.

Romero has no idea what he's getting himself into when he first kisses Isabel. Shocked at the passion she invokes in him, he believes he can keep his usual short fuse under wraps. Falling fast and hard for someone so flawlessly sweet only makes him more aware that he’s far from perfect. If she is ever witness to his biggest imperfection, he’s sure she’ll bail. But when her meddling sister does the worst thing imaginable—bring other men between him and his Izzy—that fuse is lit and all bets are off.

My Review:
What can I possibly say about Romero? Cold shower?! Yes, Yes, Yes!  This book gives a view into the life of Romero who is one of Angel's best friends and his soon to be love interest Isabel or Izzy.  These are not two characters you would think would be successful in a relationship but that is the thrill!  They may have completely different backgrounds but they each have something the other has been missing!
5 out of 5 stars!

Making You Mine (Book 5)
Blurb courtesy of Goodreads:

Always in control, the meticulous and professional Salvador Moreno is thrown for a loop when the newly hired bartender Grace Zendejas suddenly invades his family’s restaurant, and infuriatingly, his every thought. For the first time in his life, Sal is fumbling. But after recovering from a few blunders he discovers his feelings for Grace run much deeper.

Things begin to heat up between him and Grace, but then the ever-perfect Sal does something even his brothers never did—screws up royally. Now he’s scrambling to cover up a mistake he knows could cost him dearly. As his relationship with Grace grows even more serious, Sal's secret is a ticking bomb, threatening to destroy the one thing he now lives and breathes for—his relationship with the love of his life—Grace.

My Review:
The eldest of the Moreno siblings, Sal has always appeared as the level-headed one throughout this series. Well......keep reading! Enter Grace (or Gracie) and Sal may not be level-headed for too much longer! The series continues as we get to read about the eldest brother and how he keeps the Moreno business prospering while trying to further his love life.  He has truly met his match with Grace!

5 out of 5 stars! (Nothing less of course!)

Author Interview with Elizabeth Reyes!

How did you come up with the storyline for the Moreno Brothers? Long story short I began writing Forever Mine way back in high school. I wrote about seven chapters and put it away for over fifteen years. When I finally came across it again I got all into the story and decided I just had to finish. The idea of the three brothers came to me because there were actually three popular brothers who attended my school and I adored them from afar. They were older than me so when I started writing the story I decided it would be about the youngest of three very popular brothers in high school. I didn't even think about making it a series until I was done with FM and missed the characters terribly. That's when the series idea blossomed and the rest is history. =)

Do you have a favorite character in the series? That's like asking if I have a favorite child. I couldn't possibly choose one. I poured my heart and soul into each story. But if I have to pick the funnest one to write. Hands down Romero. I have a bit of a potty mouth so it was nice to not have to hold back so much. And I never laughed so much writing a book! lol

Who is your favorite author/s? Gosh there are so many this is always a tough one. Judy Blume will always hold a place  in heart. I discovered my love and passion for reading through her books growing up. Then there is Lori Foster the Queen of writing alpha males my favorite type of hero to read and write. What an inspiration. But there are so many other Elkeles, Dessen, Echols just to name a few.
Are there any characters in any of the books that are modeled after someone in your life? I think all my characters have a little of mixture of a lot of people I know. So definitely.

How far do you see this series going? The series in itself is now complete but I anticipate and already have a few spin offs in the works.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Hopefully still writing. I have SO many stories in my head I worry I may never get them all out there.

What do you want your readers to get from these books? Escapism and entertainment. I write to entertain. I love reading to escape. I read books that keep me up at night and at the edge of seat, turning the page anxiously having to know what happens next and that's what I aspire to do--put my readers through the ride of their lives.

Do you play certain music when you write? None. I need complete silence when I write so I do most of my writing while the kids are in school. Because we all know teens don't do complete silence!

How do you approach character development? I need to  know their background first. To me that makes them who they are. Are they a middle child the oldest an only child? Were they raised by both parents? Only one? Neither? All this contributes to their  strengths and weaknesses. Sal for example was the oldest of four kids and the first of parents who immigrated to the US and made something for themselves. Therefore he was compelled to lead and prove to his parents he was capable of being the oldest mature one of his siblings. This made him the most driven and a perfectionist.

Are there plans for a different series? Yes absolutely I have several more. I will hopefully be putting out the first books of those series this year.  Readers can check my website for updates on my upcoming projects. I update all the time.

Thank you Ms. Reyes! It has been truly a joy! We can't wait to see what you have for us in the future!
